Words for the Independent Class. I like to write. I like history. And I LOVE to research. With a growing sense of disenfranchisement amongst those of us who really are neither left nor right, I started keeping a journal, which eventually led to this blog. And that little activity has lead to a whole lot more… There can’t be a more ordinary reflection of the average American. Read more about me and about the 9.12 Project. Or read my articles on BigGovernment.com.
It’s up to each of us to keep ourselves informed and to understand the background behind some of our nation’s biggest challenges and best successes. We’re on the cusp of a historical movement to protect our Constitution from creeping Socialism. If you want to restore smaller government, you have to become an educated voice to drive philosophical change. To be armed is to Be Informed: Visit this page for all your research; Bills in Congress to be aware of, Stimulus Alerts that track community news reports for where stimulus money is being spent, important Articles, relevant Reference Sites and Studies, and many Independent Groups and other Links.
Whether it’s hosting a Tea Party event, becoming an activist for the US Constitution, writing a letter or petition, or just getting involved in your community, YOU can make a difference. The worst thing you can do is remain silent and unhappy. There are plenty of positive ways in which you can take action.

There were just so many other websites that I’d recommend to fellow 912ers and others, my Blogroll sidebar on the right was getting very, very long! So, I’ve created this page for special partners, features and some of my own website picks that aren’t specifically part of the other categories.

They’re taking America away from Americans!!
Turning us into a European Union.
Connect the dots. Look at all the Policy Changes occurring and all the Appointees that hold high to mid level positions in the Administration.
Slowly, the Administration and Congress are changing our Constitution.
We have to take a stand, form a viable group and protest in a Civil Manner as we did on April 15, 2009.
The Pres is a cunning speaker and a likable guy to many. We have to let him know that we as Americans are not going to stand for changes he wants to implement I outlined above.

As I point out in my editorial on SpecialOpsAndNews.com, this entire “race” card issue – now anointed by Jimmy Carter – is part of the liberal plan to distract the American people from the failing Obama health care bill – which will cost Obama serious political clout when it’s finally taken off of liberal life support.

An Open Letter to Chris Christie Governor of the State of New Jersey.
“In the last few years voting in New Jersey and across the country has seen many dramatic changes.”
I herewith request that your office review and respond to the following inquiry:
What is the “No Excuse Ballot” and why do voters in New Jersey need it?
Why should a resident voter use an absentee ballot if they are not absent from the State?
Is the election process in New Jersey valid and secure?
Thank you in advance for your anticipated reply to this inquiry.
Respectfully,
Frank J. Festa, Jr.
I urge that all citizens exercise their right to vote which will keep our democracy vital and strong.

Haiti: Governments across the world were pouring relief supplies and medical teams into the quake-hit Caribbean state, already the poorest in the Western Hemisphere. But huge logistical hurdles, including a clogged airport and badly damaged port, and the sheer scale of the destruction meant aid was not yet reaching hundreds of thousands of victims. However, where is the Cuban Government and the other Communist Governments in the hemisphere?

This blog and many of the people posting here are absurd. While this so-called “Liberty” Chick rails against organized workers, she defends Big Business corporations and their billion dollar profiteering.
It’s really a bit befuddling, especially since she loves to extol the Founding Fathers.
Here is what Thomas Jefferson said in 1812: “I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”
Too bad right-wingers don’t seem to understand that well, which is why they often contradict themselves when they talk about “liberty and freedom.”
Liberty and freedom — as long as we follow what they believe. Apparently, liberty and freedom does not extend to the freedom for workers to associate in unions, as demonstrated by the right’s hatred of such worker’s collectives.
This is what Ike (Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower) said about unions: “Only a fool would try to deprive working men and working women of their right to join the union of their choice.”
I guess the right-wing would qualify as fools, eh? Where would Liberty Chick fit into Ike’s statement?
She sounds like a shill for the Oligarch, just like nut job Glenn Beck and many other right-wingers. And yes, even though she claims she is neither “left nor right,” she IS a right-winger. Without a doubt, it is clear she is not an independent voice, because she sounds like a million other right-wingers who parrot Beck, Limbaugh, and the rest of the bunch. And, typical of the right-wing, she cares little for issues which affect the middle and lower classes. Issues such as health care, wages, quality of work, etc.
It is no surprise that she oppose health care reform. Profits before people — a typical right-wing P.O.V. Social Darwinism is alive and well in modern American conservatism.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Liberty Chick also spends much of her time attacking (and demonizing) unions while doing nothing to criticize the abuses of corporations and crony capitalism. Heck, if anything, she defends as supports it, as exemplified by one of her recent articles.
It’s like her right-wing attacks against ACORN, a community oriented groups who serve the lower class.
She has the nerve to mention “empire” when referencing to organized labor, while she ignores the REAL billion dollar financial empires in the largest corporate organizations upon whose alter she worships, like some golden calf.
We get it: organized low wage workers = evil. Billion dollar corporations = America! ACORN assisting poor folks = Hitler, while American corporatism = rugged individualism.
It’s really absurd.
Right-wingers won’t admit, but America has a proud history of organized labor and unionism, progressivism, social justice, and other issues which are considered to be “of the left.” That is why we have worker’s safety, the 40-hour work week, woman and minority suffrage, improved civil rights, the idea of a well-trained bureaucracy, and all of the elements which make up a modern America.
Too bad Liberty Chick and her Glenn Beck hero appears to hate elements of America. I guess patriotism only goes so far.

Hmmm. What a constructive post.
Well, first of all, I was AFL-CIO for many years. I reserve the right to rail against union LEADERS, which I typically differentiate from workers in my writings. Although, I will say that am 100% against organizing workers when it is unnecessary, produces inefficiency and when it’s done in a corrupt way – and corrupt organizing is what I write about.
Secondly, my late father in law was a coal miner and union member. He needed a union in his day (he lived into his 90’s), his served him well, and unions generally served a productive purpose in most cases in his time.
Lastly, when it comes to banks and corporations, I don’t defend greed, corruption, or breaking the law. If a corporation breaks the law and I’m tasked with investigating them, you can be assured I would rail against them just as hard. General Electric is one such company I have investigated and written about in the past. You’ll be delighted to know that I railed and I railed and I railed. Unfortunately for you, my regular investigative specialty though is in corruption in unions and 527 groups. I’m sure you can easily turn elsewhere for all your regular corporation investigation needs. There’s no shortage of corporation bashing going on in your camp.
I defend capitalism, not corporate greed. There is a difference. Perhaps you might read up about that.
Not sure what Glenn Beck has to do with any of this, but if it makes you feel better about yourself to insert his name into your posts wherever you can, then you just go right ahead. It’s not exactly an intelligent argument against my apparently “right-wing” viewpoints (since when is capitalism right wing?), but again, you just have at it little man.
It’s been a pleasure.
Mandy

PS – The eagle needs both wings to fly in a straight direction. I’m not exactly a “right-winger”, but if you must place that label on anyone who disagrees with your view, then I’ll proudly wear it. Someone needs to keep that lovely bird flying balanced with both wings so that she may stay on course.

What I find is missing is freedom and democracy in the workplace.
Both of the major political parties in the US are right wing. There is no real left wing alternative like there is elsewhere in the world.

Communists/”liberals” and the likes just never learn. Study world’s history, look back as far as you can, and find a single example when any utopian idea was implemented without a sea of blood. American-Constitution-style capitalism is as close to the perfection as probably possibly. Your ability to post comments on this blog is a proof of it.
